Although we can't replace the sweat-drenched elation of a Hi-Dive concert, we thought we’d at least try to bring the feeling back to our homes. With that in mind, we’re launching our own weekly live-stream aptly named, Private Party.
It’s open to everyone willing to watch but private in the sense that our wicked dance moves will only be witnessed by our confused pets and stay-at-home partners. See it as an opportunity to get even better at your cha-cha slide until we all meet again.
Every week will feature a local musician or DJ that gets us up and moving, encouraging libations (for the 21+ crowd, of course) and shenanigans that grace the dance floors of our favorite local spots year-round. NEW REMIX: Selena - Missing My Baby (Physical Remix) (Feat Dua LIpa)
Thank you fo watching my visual for my new remix of Selena's 1992 song "Missing My Baby" featuring Dua Lipa's "Physical". I wanted to bring Selena into a new decade with pop music. Her potential was beyond anything anyone of us can imagine and her vocal ability works on many different kind of genres.
"Missing My Baby" was oringinally recorded in 1992 for the album Entre a Mi Mundo. It was written as an early 90s R&B song, ala Kieth Sweat, SWV, or Xscape and has a very nice groove to it. When Selena and her production team was gearing up for her first English cross-over album, which became "Dream Of You" in 1995 after her death, "Missing My Baby" was giving a new production and instrumental to match a more adult-contemporary R&B sound.
Now in 2020, you can hear a synth-wave pop interpretation of the song. Selena live from space, vocalizing into the galaxy.
